In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
On the 2nd November 2014, Isaac Paul-Okoh became the third family member to get baptised. Isaac, who soon turns 17 years old, moved from Nigeria to Glasgow around six years ago. In this time he has matured as a teenager with a great love for God and love for others. It is incredible seeing family bonds strengthen through being bonded together with the love of Christ.
The church celebrated with Isaac with joyful song, prayers and sharing pizza together.
“this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God” – 1 Peter 3:21
Sunday 11th December 2011 was a special day. Not just because because the Glasgow Church of Christ had its Christmas service along with a wonderful nativity production performed by the children. It was a special day because Chris Gou, a recent graduate of the University of Glasgow, made his decision to commit his life to Jesus and become a Christian and disciple of Jesus.
Chris has an amazing heart and it has been wonderful to see him change from being an atheist to having 100% belief in God and God’s will for his life.
His baptism was a special time for the fellowship as we warmly welcome another member to the congregation.
As Jesus says in Luke 10:20 – we rejoice with you that your name is written in heaven.
