In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
On the 2nd November 2014, Isaac Paul-Okoh became the third family member to get baptised. Isaac, who soon turns 17 years old, moved from Nigeria to Glasgow around six years ago. In this time he has matured as a teenager with a great love for God and love for others. It is incredible seeing family bonds strengthen through being bonded together with the love of Christ.
The church celebrated with Isaac with joyful song, prayers and sharing pizza together.
We have been extremely blessed to have a nine minstry interns come to Glasgow for a week on their tour around different churches in the northern UK. We are very grateful for their sacrifical hearts to give up their time to help spread the word of God in Glasgow. They have come from around the USA and from Manchester and Reading in the UK.
During their time in Glasgow they have been talking to the people of Glasgow about their faith and sharing the gospel with them. Many people have had a chance to hear the Word beacause of their love and devotion. As a church we have been trying to give something back to them by equiping the interns with apologetics teaching on “How we got the Bible”, “Effective evangelism”, “The Case for Christ” and “Creation and Evolution”.
The interns have also had a chance to see a wee bit of Glasgow including Kevlingrove Museum, Riverside Museum and Loch Lomond.
God has certainly been using them during their time in Glasgow. Serval people are currently studying the bible and prayfully will make a decision to follow Christ and many others have expressed a desire to come City Centre Bible Discussions on Wednesday Lunchtimes or attend our Sunday worship service.
We wish them well and pray that they can continue to be used by God as they continue their tour to Edinburgh and Birmingham.
